Experience & Qualifications

I have 20+ years of successful teaching in the field of Special Education. This is experience included Gifted, Learning disabled, Emotional Handicapped, Hospital Homebound and combinations of. Currently mostly working with 16-18 year old "drop-over" students(most people label these students "drop outs") Most of whom had so much difficulty in public/private school (either academic or behavioral) they did not make it through...until they find us. I've worked with students from Kindergarten age through 12th grade, and "my" latest GED graduate was 65. I love what I do, and I'm good at it.(Or if post graduates continued contact measures success...many students that come back to visit, or call just to let me know how they're doing and they've graduated from college, or a training program, or had their first baby. Oddly enough many of my students now were once in special education before enrollment in the adult school setting. So while I'm not "teaching" Special Education in a direct sense, I'm teaching in the same field without the labels. I focus on individuality of the student and what the expectations of learning combined to have everyone involved with the process.
