My Expert Service
|
|
My name is Jen Medders. I am a Certified Professional Life Coach and I would be honored to help you discover the life you were meant to live. You may ask: “Why does one seek out a life coach?” Here are some questions to ask yourself: “Are you a busy woman that can’t seem to ‘get it all in’?” “Are you embarking on a season of change and transition?” “Are you experiencing some difficulty in moving forward in some area of your life?” “Is life pretty good, but you would like to make it fantastic?” “Are you the kind of person who benefits from “bouncing ideas” off others?” “ Are you in need of accountability in your life?” If so…I may be the coach for you.
In the next few paragraphs, I will explain a little about life coaching. The exciting thing about coaching is that it entirely focuses on the present and the future…meaning, you do not have to tell me your deep, dark secrets in order to move forward.
Intrigued? Read below and I will explain.
• Coaching is designed to help folks:
o identify a current situation that is troubling to them
o identify judgments or perspectives that may be holding the person from moving forward
o setting short and long term goals
o follow up and accountability on those goals.
• Coaching is action-oriented. The coach will help the client, through asking questions and offering feedback and reflection, identify what actions and in what order the actions need to take place in order to reach a certain goal.
If you have any further questions on what coaching is, please feel free to contact me and I would be move than happy to answer any questions that you might have. I am looking forward to hearing from you!

Experience & Qualifications
|
|
I grew up in Richmond, Va, moved to Mars Hill, NC to complete my Bachelor’s in Psychology and I have lived in Western North Carolina ever since. In 1998, I embarked on a career path of ‘serving others.’ In my work, I have supported children and families in setting goals to reduce symptoms of diagnoses and empowered families to become self-reliant. For the next 10 years, I experienced many successes and yes, some failures, learning valuable lessons from each.
By 2005, I had become the Program Director for a mental health agency providing services to children, families and adults. During my tenure as program director, the agency grew by 400% expanding its services and staff. What I enjoyed most about my role was supporting staff in meeting their goals, offering trainings and empowering others to make a difference.
Life coaching became a natural next step for me as I had spent her career and most of my life encouraging clients, staff, friends and family in living their best life. Peers often comment on my ability to get to the heart of matters and my remarkable ability to support people in creating change in their lives.
Throughout a life of listening to and supporting others, I have developed a style that promotes validation, teaches accepting responsibility and encourages dynamic goal setting which promotes the highest level of achievement for those interested in excelling.
