Hello! My name is Jennifer and I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW). What exactly do social workers do? Social workers assist people in their environment. In other words, social workers are interested in your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, but we are also very interested in how those same thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are affected by your surroundings, circumstances, and environment.
People do not necessarily need to have a "diagnosis" in order to benefit from the services of a social worker. Relationships, jobs, finances, and community attitudes can all put added stress on a person. And when your situation becomes overwhelming, social workers can help you sort it out. If this sounds like a partnership you would benefit from, then I welcome your call!
Unlike most counselors, I did not start out as a psychology major. Instead, I majored in Theatre Arts and it was probably the best education in human behavior I could have asked for.

It was productive session with Mrs. Guerrero. I have learned so much from her. Her application with theatre background into therapy session gives me better idea what life is about. It was a worthy session. She comes in highly recommended.
