As Chief Operating Officer, Jesus currently oversees the marketing, interactive, creative and finance teams at The Amaru Group (TAG), a marketing boutique based in NYC. Prior to joining TAG, he was Director of Events at Batanga.com, the #1 Latin music site in the U.S., where he managed the production, marketing, and staff for live national concerts and college tours. He was responsible for more than $1.2 million in budgets for Yum Brands, Volkswagen, Verizon Wireless and U.S. Army national marketing and recruiting initiatives. Uniquely responsible for integrating the Batanga brand within the 18-24 youth market, Jesus utilized micro-sites and online social networking communities to draw in new audiences and increase the site's overall visibility across the target audience. Prior to producing events, Jesus was the Publisher and Co-Founder of Latino University, a publication for collegiate Latinos nationally distributed at 300+ universities. In this role, he oversaw the sales, circulation, and content departments. Jesus holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from New York University.

Experience & Qualifications

1) Managed and produced 13-city, 70 campus 'Latino College Tour' activation for U.S. Army, Verizon Wireless, Tropez, Irish Spring and Batanga.com. The tour yielded high accolades via increased lead generation (Latino College Tour was US Army's #1 Hispanic marketing program for 5 years straight 2002-2007) 2) Created and published 2 nationally audited print publications - Latino University and Latino High School. Increased the circulation from 0 to 250 universities, sales from 0 to over $150k per issue, and marketing from 0 to over 1.2 million collegiate and high school Latinos. 3) Created and produced nationally acclaimed college tournament known as 'LatinosStep' a 10-city Step Show competition that drew in physical audiences of over 100,000, and generated over 2,000,000 online impressions via live webstreaming and dedicated website.
