CACI Limited, (July 2001 – September 2002)
Working for CACI provided me the opportunity to both apply my existing knowledge and develop valuable new skills. With the aid of my existing programming knowledge, I was quickly able to adapt to CACI’s in house software and systems. My role within the company meant that I had to interact with numerous people on a daily basis and allowed me to develop good people management skills as I would often be dealing with those under pressure and working toward tight deadlines.
Of significant benefit was being provided the opportunity to develop my presentation skills further. I would often be required to give full day training courses to employees and to give presentations during team meetings with regard to new software releases and data changes.
The processing and administration of CACI’s databases allowed me to further my project management skills, with projects requiring extensive forward planning and accurate time management, in order to ensure deadlines could be met.
