I truly believe that all of us need someone in our lives that we can turn to, who is non-judgment and who doesn't have the "I told you so" attitude toward us when we are hurting or have failed somewhere along the line - whether it be in intimate relationships, relationships with family members, our jobs, our health. We all need a safe place to fall when things get rough. I believe that failure is success turned inside out and that it is possible to get things turned right side in and become happier in our lives. I have over 12 years working with people to help them manage intense emotions (intense emotions management) - i.e., anger, jealousy, fear; Work with parents to teach them how to teach their children to do the same; Taught "surviving adolescents" for several years and currently work with parents and families on creating warm relationships through communication and emotions management techniques.
12 years of experience working with individuals and families in all areas of life including high risk adolescents and their families, and intensive experience with trauma and crisis. Six years working with crisis/trauma teams for Red Cross - both for local and national disasters, including September 11, 2001 and Hurricane Katrina survivors.
