Experience & Qualifications

I received my Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, in 1999. Earlier, I earned my Bachelors Degree in Political Science with an emphasis in Law and Political Psychology. My work with cognitive process in adolescents has been acknowledged in the journal 'The Review of Education, Pedagogy & Cultural Studies' on various occasions.
I received additional training under the Family Mediation Centre in Melbourne, Australia where I aided in the creation of a parent-adolescent-school mediation program (CRESS) now utilized by the Victoria Family Court System. I was also licensed as a Custody Mediator in Minnesota in 1999.
In 2004 I earned my license as a Clinical Social Worker in the State of California while working for San Diego County Childrens' Services Bureau. During this time I was a social worker under the Adoptions Program and later helped establish HOME Program, which provides housing for former foster youth.
In addition to my private practice, I enjoy advocating for foster youth community and provide clinical services to various group homes and foster teens. I also do pro bono sessions for former foster youth under the age of 25. In addition, I also volunteer with the 'BARC' program by providing therapy services to perpetrators of animal abuse.
