Today I hold a Bachelors degree in Business. I also own and manage 3 businesses.
This was not the case 20 years ago. I had just gotten divorced and was not aware that my ex- had left me with enormous debt including $28,000 in taxes owed on our condo. I inherited the condo in the divorce and the debt that came with it. I had worked in accounting before but knew nothing about taking control of my own finances! Distraught and broke I checked out books but could not learn how to get out of debt. I learned everything I could about how to restore my credit while trying to control the massive amount of debt. I started with a simple budget that just about anyone can follow but it takes self-control.
I then learned that my ex- had filed bankruptcy on the all of the debt we owned while we were married (we live in a community property state) and they began to come after me for what he owed! I learned about personal bankruptcy and how to talk to creditors.
With my knowledge I was hired as a collections and finance consultant for the next 15 years. Most of my clients were members of the medical community. I helped so many people over the years that I’ve lost count. Even if you feel desperate and that your finances are out of control I can help you!
