I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in private practice in Manassas, VA. I have been in private practice since 2003. My specialties include addictions and mental health counseling and life coaching for individuals, couples, families, healthcare workers, public safety workers, and military. My experience also includes substance abuse and mental health counseling at community agencies, including the Alexandria Community Shelter (1994-2000) and Prince William County CSB (2000-2004). Education includes B.S. in Psychology from Mary Washington College in 1992, Emergency Medical Technician - Basic Certification in 1993, Masters in Counseling and Development from George Mason University in 2000, and LPC in the Commonwealth of Virginia in 2002. I also attended postgraduate courses at Johns Hopkins University. I am a member of Northern Virginia Association of Licensed Professional Counselors, American Counseling Association, and the Prince William County-Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce. I am an active operational member of OWL Volunteer Fire Department at Station 14 in Lakeridge, VA. I have been a member of OWL for 13 years, and have served as Lead Emergency Medical Technician on the ambulance for 12 years. I am also a member of the Prince William County Critical Incident Stress Management Team. With my years of experience as an Emergency Medical Technician and as a clinician, I have developed within my practice a specialization in counseling public safety workers and healthcare providers, and through consulting I also provide emotional wellness education and programs for organizations that employ public safety workers and healthcare providers.
