We need compassion, the capacity to see our struggles with kindly eyes, to help us be tender to our difficulties and not close off to them in fear. This is how healing takes place. It must be applied to the experience of depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, parenting, addiction, lack of motivation, impulsivity, isolation, unworthiness, shame, self hatred, trauma and loss. This is the path to empowerment.

Experience & Qualifications

Licensed Professional Counselor. I am an associate member of a State Licensed Private Mental Health Clinic and have prior experience providing Mental Health and consultation (including cognitive/behavioral training and education) to individuals, families, teachers, counselors and children; and social services within a federally funded child development program. I have studied with the Masters of East/West Buddhism, Christian Mysticism and Sufism over the past 25 years. Prior to my years in counseling and social services, i worked as an emergency medical technician in the US Navy.
