As most people know, art is a very personal and subjective pursuit. No single person can ever tell another artist that what they are doing is wrong as art does not really have a description beyond whatever personal description the artist makes for him/herself. This can, understandably, make learning and creating art rather difficult for both prospective and practicing artists as the ultimate freedom of art encompasses everything involved in the subject, from personal practice to business strategies.
It is my intention to help guide artists towards the best practices and habits for them as individuals. Through the use of live chat and email, it is possible to create an actual dialogue between myself and another whose personality and ideas and dreams can then be understood and used to create an answer that works best for that particular individual.

If you are struggling with a personal project or an assignment from an art class, I can connect with you on live chat to help guide you through whatever problem you may be facing, whether that problem is with a specific technical difficulty or a more general "where do I go from here?" type question. Not every person has the same problem or the same way of thinking and this makes an individualized help session especially important.
Or maybe you are interested in art, as a practice or as a potential career prospect. Through live chat, I can talk to you and help you gain a better understanding of just what you want to do and how exactly you can get started. There are many different aspects and paths and choices to be made in art and it can get very confusing at times. By getting a better idea of just what your interests and difficulties are, a plan can be made and you will be able to feel much more confident in your choices, whether they were personal or business related.
Of course, then there are those who are already involved in art and may be in the middle of a project or even finished with a project. But maybe you just aren't quite sure that the piece is truly the best it can be for your personal needs and, if so, I can help you. Simply email me, with a photo of your work attached, and I can give you a breakdown critique of what you have done right, what you may want to look at more closely, and where you may want to go with projects along similar lines in the future. Experience & Qualifications
|
I have been involved in and have studied art for almost fifteen years, attending regular classes and workshops at both professional and highly respected collegiate institutes. During my years practicing art, I have won several awards and honors on both local and national levels for a number of my paintings and drawings. While by definition I am predominately self-taught, I have still managed to gain a significant amount of experience with oil paints, charcoal, graphite, soft pastel, and colored pencil. I have less experience, but still a good understanding of other mediums such as acrylic paint, watercolor, mixed media, and India Ink.
As for past work experience, I have participated in many creative activities and jobs, working to paint theater sets and interior murals, as a teacher for various art workshops and classes, as a portrait painter, and as an illustrator for short stories and poems in literary magazines.
Even outside of the creative field, I have worked for almost a decade as an instructor and teacher for children, teenagers, and adults in a variety of educational settings. As an instructor, I have always focused on making the learning process as fun and interactive as possible for every age group and have always achieved good results and positive responses with my methods.
Currently, I am actively pursuing an arts career as a professional artist and working as a creative instructor in my local area.
