Network Analyzer
Network Analyzer is a solution that enables the Network Administrator to fully view the analysis of the Network Traffic according to the criteria set by him. Following the Client/Server architecture, it facilitates the administrator to keep an eye on each node of the network and manage network traffic to enhance network performance and help in making important decisions by analyzing traffic patterns. Remote desktop of clients is also provided. Server application is installed on all the nodes of the network (may also include Administrator’s machine) while the client application is available only for use by the administrator.
Technologies: Microsoft Visual Studio 2003, C#.NET, VC++, Win32, Windows Services, .NET Remoting, WinPCap 3.1.
Role: Working as a Team Lead of a group of five members, made a major contribution to the development of the project by developing the modules; Network Enumerator, Communicator, Client Manager, Server Manager, Security Manager, Remote Desktop, Desktop Capturer, Configuration Manager and Presentation Layer.
Parallel Port Communication Library
Developed a library in C++ for parallel port communication between two PCs. Used Borland C++ as IDE and Windows 98 as platform. The driver application is developed in a generic way so that it can be used as server or client at the same. Lap link cable was used as a connection between two PCs. Both nibble and full byte modes were enabled.
GUI Libraries
Developed an 8-bit GUI library in C++. The library included easy to use controls like Button, Menu, Panel, Picture Box, Text Box, Message Box, Popup Input Box, Toolbar and Dialogue Box, all with multiple properties for customization.
