I can answer questions about any aspect of IP networking and IP-based protocols, including design and setup, especially Internet protocols. Encryption and security are a specialty.
On the programming/software side I have built web applications on the most popular platforms: ASP, Perl, Python, SQL, JavaScript. Unix and Windows both. Regular Unix application programming is no problem - both GUIs and servers.
I currently use Debian GNU/Linux, and have a broad knowledge of Unix systems and programming.
My knowledge and experience span a very broad range of categories - if you're having a problem with your network or programming, I can fix it! If you want to do something NEW, I can tell you how it's best done.

I have been involved in Internet networking and software since 1995, starting with the second commercial ISP in Seattle (IXA R.I.P.). Since then I've moved on to more interesting things - web-based applications and Internet cryptography. I am a voracious technical reader and neophile, and completely self-taught.
