Having worked in the HVAC manufacturing industry and then in research and development of fuel burning technology for several more years, I became a consultant to manufacturers of gas and oil fired appliances in the mid-80's. My clients have ranged in size from small through large, in both Canada and the United States.
I have assisted quite a number of manufacturers with the design, approval and manufacture of new products. I have worked with all of the certification testing agencies and have a strong background with safety standards and installation codes.
I have written the installation instructions for dozens of fuel burning applainces and yes, I have the experience to write instructions, as I have installed a number of these products myself.
I have a considerable amount of experience troubleshooting product failure and installation related problems.

Working on the manufacturing side of the HVAC industry for several years. Then several more strictly in research and development work on new concepts in fuel burning equipment. The past ten years have been spent as a consultant, as required to manufacturers of fuel burning appliances.
