I work with small practices--providers with one to four practitioners.
I have seven years of experience working with providers building their clinics from the ground up. I handle all the insurance company credentialing and organizing all aspects of opening a practice.
I have set up and handled the accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll systems, inventories, provider recredentialing, contracting, employee relations and other items too numerous to mention.

Experience & Qualifications

Total health care related experience--20 years.
Provider/clinic credentialing--7 years. Have worked with a pediatrician, 2 licensed clinic social workers, a licensed professional counselor, and 2 nurse practitioners.
Insurance billing-7 years. I don't have certification, but have self taught experience. I have found sites to do free online billing for Medicare, Medicaid, BCBS, Coventry, Cigna, Triwest and United Health Care, just to name a few of the major players. I currently am doing the insurance billing for 2 nurse practitioners which includes following up on denied claims.
I have 12 years working with non-profits--5 years with a community action agency in the Head Start program as a health and nutrition coordinator and 7 years as an administrator for a local public health department.
