I have a Bachelor of Nursing degree with a specialty in Long Term Care Nursing. I started working with the elderly when I was 18 years old as a nursing assistant. I have served in a supervisory role including Director of Nursing, and currently as a Long Term Care Nurse Consultant for a closed door pharmacy.

I started in this field as a nurse aid, and worked my way thru nursing school in this position. Once I graduated, I took a job as a staff nurse caring for skilled/non skilled residents in a 200 bed long term care facility. Since that time I have served as a unit supervisor, house supervisor, MDS coordinator, Medicare coordinator, infection control/QA coordinator,staff development nurse, assistant director of nursing, director of nursing, and currently as a long term care nurse consultant for a closed door pharmacy
