In 1973, Mrs. Damaceno became a licensed massage Therapist practitioner by the city of Phoenix. In 1987, she received her diploma in clinical Hypnotherapy Damaceno became a certified Hypno-Anaethesio Therapist by the National Board of Hypnotic Anesthesiology. Due to her growing interest in the Holistic Medicine, Mrs. Damaceno went to India to study Acupuncture. In 1989, she received her Diploma of Acupuncture from the International College of Acupuncture Alternative medicine, Colombo Sri Lanka. In 1990, she was admitted to the fellowship of the International Laser Therapy Association, Colombo. Also, in that year , Mrs. Damaceno was one of the participants of the Annual Chinese Medical Academy convention where she was one of the speakers on the panel. In 1993, she became a member of The Arizona Society of Acupuncture. In 1994, Mrs. Damaceno was asked to be speak about Acupuncture for Stop Smoking Program at Motorola. In 1994, Mrs. Damaceno received her diploma from The Japanese American Acupuncture Foundation on abdominal Diagnosis and management of psychiatric disorders. Always at the forefront on the latest Acupuncture research studies, Mrs. Damaceno was asked to be part of a team of Acupuncturist from around the country to take part on a research study conducted on patients undergoing a detox program at Lincoln Hospital in New York. The study was very successful and she was awarded a certificate as an Acupuncture Detoxification specialist from the Lincoln Hospital. Other areas of specialty that Mrs. Damaceno has studied are homeopathy, Chinese, and Japanese herbs. She has also practiced and studied eastern meditation and philosophy for the passed 35 years. Because of her extensive meditation practice she has found a deep inner peace that she shares with all her patients. She is also able to share, and teach meditation for those seeking to find their own inner peace. Due to her successful involvement in the Holistic & alternative Medicine community in Arizona for so many years, Mrs. Damaceno was asked to be a member of the Board of Director's of Rainstar University, as well as the President of the massage Therapy College. In 1998, she became a member of Allied Health Association. In 1999, she and her colleges helped form the Board of Acupuncture of Arizona. After the Board was formed, Mrs. Damaceno became a licensed Acupuncturist from the State of Arizona Board of Examiners(Lic#0197). In that same year, Mrs. Damaceno traveled to India in order to study Pranic Healing Therapy under world renowned Master Choa Kok Sui-P. www.pranichealing.com. She received her certificate in Pranic Healing and also became a certified Ayurvedic Medicine Therapist. In 2001, she became a member of the American Association of Oriental Medicine. Mrs. Damaceno is the founder and President of Acu-Chi Mind and Body Center and Suddenly Slimmer Day Spa in Phoenix, and has had her successful practice since 1988. Mrs. Damaceno has been featured in all the major TV stations, radio stations, and newspapers in the valley as an expert in complimentary & alternative medicine, in the review & treatment of acute & chronic conditions as well as anti-aging, non surgical beauty treatments.
