Experience & Qualifications
|
I began learning Spanish when I was ten years old. I took a course at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington when I was twelve years old on Basic Spanish. I traveled to Mexico when I was fourteen with my father and in high school I was a teacher assistant with the ESL teachers where I helped tutor the spanish speaking students. Through close friends of Hispanic origin, I have learned many things about the culture such as food, music, slang, and even what's popular and cool right now in Spanish speaking countries. In high school I took three years of Spanish and I've just completed a year of college under the Community Spanish Interpretor program where I'm learning Spanish for the Workplace which covers medical, legal, and law enforcement, Spanish culture, Translating Spanish, and Interpreting Spanish. FOR REFERENCE CALL: Charles Sterling (professor at Cape Fear Community College) 910-362-7552.
