My Expert Service
|
|
When we face challenges we often realize how, in our own histories, we were never taught positive and productive ways to self-care. Through my education and training, I have learned to help others identify their own repetitive patterns and struggles – as well as their strengths - to help them develop healthier coping skills, self-discipline and more a positive outlook. The way we approach challenges can change and, with the right support, our lives can take on a whole new meaning. I will assist you as you see more clearly the reasons for your feelings, why you have chosen specific actions so far, and how to implement your own innate skills and abilities. You will be free to make healthier choices in your life and relationships. From me you will receive openness, genuineness and a straight forward approach to how you can start feeling better. There is real value in reconnecting with your authentic self after having become disconnected, or perhaps never having been connected in the first place. You can learn to see stress, overwhelming or painful feelings and relationship problems as opportunities for learning and growth and then move forward with improved coping skills for the future. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a member of NASW's Academy of Certified Social Workers. I am experienced in providing therapy for individuals, couples and families. Places of employment have included transitional homeless shelters, schools, nursing homes, vocational and mental health agencies. I am bilingual in American Sign Language and specialize in helping families with Deaf members embrace each member's differences. I hope to hear from you and to become a small support on the course of your larger life journey.
