Three year experience with audit firm KPMG in audit and assurance department, Four months experience with Habib Bank limited in letter of credit department.
During my experience with KPMG (Pakistan) I have been assigned various responsibilities which varied depending on the nature of assignment. A brief summary of my responsibilities included.
Conducting meetings/ interview the client to complete sections of assigned audit work, Planning and allocating resources to meet audit objectives, designing audit programs and working schedules for the recording and storage of evidence, determine record and test the organization’s accounting system and the information produced, evaluate the financial information produced by an organization, review financial statements against the evidence collected in the audit process, advise and consult with higher management of the client on audit concerns, prepare and discuss management letter issued to the client, taking full ownership of my client and external file completion, analyzing engagement economics of self and field staff and explaining variances from plan, continuous communicating with the manager and partner with respect to engagement progress risks, issues, variances from plan in terms of time, budget, etc. developing the knowledge of junior team members through on the job reviewing, coaching and sharing best practices on the completion of their sections.
