I work with Special Needs children on a daily basis at school as well as at home. I enjoy the different challenges I face every day. The children range from non-verbal to verbal. I have children in my class that have severe Autism to High-Functioning Autism / Asperger's Syndrome. I work with them in various subjects from social interaction to literacy to speech development.

I earned my Bachelor's degree in 2005. I have taught children from preschool through 6th grade. The past few years I have focused on literacy advancement in children. I have worked with local preschools for low income families. I work with ages 2 to 5 there to help them be where they need to be or surpass the average reading level for Kindergarten. I have seen children succeed and even my son has advanced at school in his reading. He is Autistic and in the first grade but reads at a 3rd and 4th grade level. In addition to working with local preschools I also have my own class of children with Special Needs.
