I am an English schoolteacher, born in 1951, and I have been teaching/tutoring since 1982. I list Mathematics as one of my hobbies. Over the years I have explored some of the quieter backwaters of Mathematics in order to find new uses for standard techniques, such as complex numbers and matrices. Solving problems is a passion - I have evolved some quirky but highly efficient ways of solving some mechanics problems for example. Some people learn via words, some learn via pictures. I can alter my approach to suit both strategies. I have built up a large library of resources over time, both in hard copy and in software. I am looking forward to working with you!

I have been teaching Physical/Numerical Sciences since 1986. I have worked in a total of 17 different schools including A Level colleges, state schools, private schools, junior schools and schools for "special needs" children. As a teacher of Science/Applied Maths I have reworked several standard mathematical problems with the aid of advenced algebra or calculus. I have been privately tutoring in Maths to pupils aged 11 - 19 since 1982, both with agencies and as part of my own business.
