I feel the most important part of home health, is to be there as a support mechanism, not only in a physical sense but also for emotional support for patient and family. I have worked with many patient groups; terminal diseases, chronic diseases, permanent disabilities.
My skills with these patient groups include: advising on home set up for easier patient mobility, help with understanding the disease process and what to expect, listening to patients and families ups and downs, advising patient and family on alternative (health) methods that may help.
