I provide relationship counseling and mediation and assist others define what they truely seek in a partner, to identifying positive character traits and to identify in themselves what they need to feel satisfied and happy in a relationship as well as to sort through the issues that could or impair their judgment. I provide alternative lifestyle therapy that includes self acceptance work, identifing life skills and building self esteem as well acquiring the critical skills to make good life decisions. As a qualified expert witness and consultant in family courts, I provide counseling and guidance to individuals dealing with relationship issues and child concerns such, as family reunification, recovery from trauma, abuse and neglect, family separations, divorce, parenting, and emotional health. I work directly with individuals in therapy that are trying to resolve relationship conflicts, recovering from violence, sexual dysfunction, and who are negotiating separation issues so that they may make good choices for the children involved, and to help to reduce or eliminate many of the potential barriers to healthy parenting or having mutually respectful and satisfying relationships. As a State Clinical Director of a behavioral healthcare agency, I make program decisions for children and families everyday. I work to broaden understanding and knowledge of particular diagnosis' and to develop skills in individuals by improving their own ability to regulate their own behaviors and to make good decisions for themselves independent of professionals. I provide assessment and counseling to promote trauma recovery, improve interpersonal relationships, develop parent skills, teach behavior modification and reduce stress. I also provide reltionship building skills, assist the client in processing experiences and events, and to resolve internalized issues. Experience & Qualifications

15 years-Private practice specializing in trauma intervention with children and families, worked with the police department and was called in to provide therapeutic support during family violence, suicide, victimization; sexual assault and abuse, family death, and other traumas experienced by the community, State Clinical Director for Behavioral Healthcare Agency creating and implementing programs to improve relationships, recovery issues steming from trauma and abuse, assisting families to cope with emotional and behavioral deficits of children and the consequences of trauma and to improve negotiation in such events as divorce, including mediation and conflict resolution. Forensic counseling and consultation for victims of sexual and physical assault, recovery and reunification of families, assessing trauma and abuse effects on the family and providing anger management and batterer education and intervention so that perpetrators of violence may return to their homes and families when separated due to family conflict. Taught counseling classes at the college level related to consultation, grief and loss issues and dysfunctional behaviors in individuals families. I have written several effective programs to improve adolescent behavior and to support parents as they cope with parenting difficulties. I have extensive experience in the areas of sexual and physical victimization and recovery as well as adult relationship issues, stress and anger management in all domains.
