My Expert Service
|
I am able to provide services to songwriters that will save them time and energy. I specialize in transcribing lead sheets (tab and staff notation) from a sound recording and/or sketch. This is helpful if encountering studio musicians, members of the group, and the copywriting office.
I am willing to correspond with the songwriter as to ideas for parts as well and transcibing (i.e. singing a line over the phone to be transcribed) and to offer my educated opinion in the songwriting process. I can transcibe for certain ethnic instruments as well.
I can also transcribe existing recordings for players interested in the works of others.
Theory questions are welcome.

Experience & Qualifications

I have been playing and writing music for forteen years. My main instrument of study in college was double bass. My education has been in jazz, classical, middle eastern, Afro-pop, and indian music. My main study is post-classical theory and improvisation. I record with a progressive rock group at the time.
