I am a clinical social worker, licensed in Louisiana. I have over 20 years experience providing counseling services to adults and adolescents. I specialize in relationships issues, depression, anxiety and substance use problems.
I believe therapy is run by the individual receiving services. I help you identify life goals, find out what in your life may be preventing you from reaching your goals, and help provide the skills you need to make the changes in your life in order to help you reach your goals,, so that you can experience the happiness and self esteem that comes from knowing who you are and accepting yourself.

I have worked in the mental health field since 1984, providing individual, group, couple and family counseling services in both outpatient and inpatient settings. I have received post master’s training in relationship counseling, person centered counseling, active problem solving, effective communication skills development, substance abuse therapy, co-occurring substance abuse and mental health issues. I have been recognized as an expert in my field by the National Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration as well as the National Office of Justice Programs, and have consulted with these agencies numerous times related to designing effective mental health and substance abuse programs.
