11 years in education working in middle schools; taught language arts, social studies, science and math to all level students; served as a department chair for the language arts department; worked in public educational systems in three states; served as the gifted facilitator testing, identifying and meeting with parents as well as coordinating and supervising the gifted program at the middle school; served as a literacy coach and received two years of training in reading theory, strategies and leadership models to support student and staff growth in literacy as well as providing staff development for staff; served as a curriculum facilitator organizing and providing staff development based upon the needs and desires of the staff; served as the testing coordinator maintaining security and appropriate administration of all local, state and national level testing.
