I was a lead teacher for 12 years in a preschool in Cleveland, Ohio for preschoolers who were struggling in regular child care or at risk for difficulties in a school environment. I planned and executed a 6 hour a day preschool and supervised two teachers. Two hours a day were spent consulting with therapists who were working one on one with the parents of the children. I was responsible for daily reports of the children's day, discussing the day with each parent and delivering seminars about the child to the board of therapists. I also planned and delivered curriculum seminars for preschool teachers in the area. I went on to raise 4 children and was often instrumental in assisting other mothers of young children in planning appropriate activities, suggesting reasonable and effective behavior and consequence plans and being a support for frustrated parents. My undergraduate degree if from Penn State University, where I participated in a program at Merrill Palmer Institute for Child Development. I went on to receive a Master's in Teaching from the University of Pittsburgh and team taught a first grade class in Greensburg, Pa.
