As a mother of four, 2 of my own and 2 that I helped raise, I have often had questions that I wanted a "real" answer to. A practical answer. A "How do I fix this right now and not later" answer to. As parents we often are afraid to ask certain questions, because we fear getting that "look" from other parents/friends/etc. Questions like: Do you ever use the television as a babysitter (to get just a Barney episode's worth of quiet)? And will that "rot" your child's brain and turn their guaranteed Harvard Law degree into a basket weaving degree from nowhere? Or, Will it really teach my four year old son to stop biting his sister if I bite him back? (my son's new hobby!) I offer my best advice, based on personal experience and the guarantee that I will not give you that "look" nor will I gossip about you at the next PTA meeting:)
I am just an everyday mom, willing to share and learn with other everyday moms. I believe that we all have something to teach each other!
