Computer Experience:
Started using computers in 1970 which was an Olivetti 101.
During the remainder of the 1970's and early 1980's used systems made by Olivetti, Wang and Radio Shack.
In 1984 was introduced to the PC compatibles and the start of hardware/software upgrades which sparked the interest in building systems.
Hardware
I have been building computers since the 80386 processor.
The motherboards were provided by various companies.
I have built systems using AMD, Cyrix and Intel processors.
Hard drives used in the systems were made by Maxtor, Seagate and Western Digital.
The CD-ROM/DVD's installed were by various manufactures.
Video cards have included ATI, Creative, Hercules and various other brands.
Sound cards have been mainly Creative Labs.
Modems have been mainly 3Com/U.S. Robotics.
Operating Systems
DOS, Windows 3.1, Windows 95 and Windows 98
I have used MS-DOS/DR-DOS since 1984.
I had been using Windows 3.1 since it became viable.
Was a Beta tester for Windows 95.
Have installed/reinstalled/configured Windows 3.1, 95 and 98 on various PC compatible computers.
Software
I have used the products made by Corel, IBM and Microsoft.
Currently use Microsoft Office, Norton SystemWorks, Symantec WinFAX Pro, Netscape Communicator/Navigator/Messenger and Internet Explorer/Outlook.
