I am Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, Substance Abuse Professional Licensed Baccalaureate Social Worker who specializes in individual, couples and family psychotherapy, as well as addiction and chemical dependency counseling and I maintains a private practice in Houston,Texas.
With over twenty-three years experience as a clinician, specializing in individual, couples, family therapy and addiction issues, I am a private practitioner who serves a broad spectrum of clients. Among my areas of expertise are chemical dependency and assessments, counseling and referrals. While working on drug and alcohol issues, areas grief; Chemical Dependency counseling; step-families; sexual and physical abuse; and stress and anger management.

Among other modalities, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Brief Solution-Focused therapies. I am an eclectic therpaist whoch means that I use the varied types of therapy that fits the client's needs. My goal is to build a professional alliance with my clients because I believes that all of us are capable of finding our way in life. Sometimes we need some guidance, support, and validation to help us accomplish our goals. My treatment approach is to provide support and appropriate feedback to help clients resolve current problems and long-standing patterns of behaviors. I Use a variety of styles and techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful modality for each client. With sensitivity and compassion, I helps each client to become aware of their the power of their dependencies and the effect of this on their relationships and careers. I focus on the strengths of my clients and not weaknesses I also provides Department of Transportation/Substance Abuse Professional, DOT/SAP Assessments, Follow Ups and Case Management. I follow privacy and confidentiality issues by my stingiest license. The exceptions to privacy and confidentiality are as follows: I may be required to report to appropriate authorities or otherwise take steps to ensure safety if you are at imminent risk to self harm, to harm others, or are at risk for harm and are a senior, minor, or considered a vulnerable (disabled) adult. In these cases, my profession requires me to take steps to ensure safety, which may result in report to outside sources.

I have over twenty-three of experience working in a mental health/substance abuse programs, developing and implementing drug and alcohol prevention, education and counseling programs. I offer a caring, non-judgmental and confidential atmosphere for clients to work of their difficult satiation. Addiction is a painful but treatable illness. I offer hope at times of despair. I am a strength-based client centered therapist. I earned my Master of Behavioral Science at University of Houston at Clear Lake and later became a Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC. Further, I am a Licensed Baccalaureate Social Worker, LBSW. A Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor, LCDC. And, a Substance Abuse Professional, SAP with national certification through NAADAC.
