Hearing loss and wearing hearing aids can be a hard pill to swallow. I have been blessed to see the life changing benefits of restoring hearing for thousands of patients. Hearing aids have changed drastically over the last 20 years and so has the cost. After clinically practicing for 4 years, I now write articles and give counsel for people suffering with hearing loss or with their current hearing aids. I continue to seek education in the field so I have up to date information on new technological advancements in state-of-the-art digital hearing aids. I am here to help you understand every aspect from testing for hearing loss, picking out hearing aids, cost vs. benefit, choosing a specialist or brand, and wearing, using, and caring for your hearing aids. If you have or can obtain a copy of your hearing test, I can then ask you specific details regarding your hearing while we are chatting/emailing.

Experience & Qualifications

|
After managing a hearing aid clinic for 2 years, I pursued my certifications and licenses to become a Hearing Aid Specialist. For 4 years I provided care and counsel for thousands of hearing impaired patients. I administered comprehensive hearing evaluations daily, fitted thousands of patients with high-end digital hearing aids. I counseled patients through the rehabilitation process that comes with hearing aids and taught them how to use their hearing aids. I repaired, programmed, and serviced all types of hearing aids daily. I have experience with ear wax removal, assistive listening devices, and available options to correct hearing like implants and surgeries. I retired from full-time practice in 2006 to stay home with our new son. Since 2006, I continue my education to make sure I know the latest research or discoveries regarding hearing loss and the latest advancements in the treatment of hearing loss via hearing aid technology or implants and surgery. I write informative articles related to hearing loss for online sources. I also managed a hearing clinic part-time this last year. Currently I am in the beginning stages of writing a book about hearing aids. I am very excited to get knowledge out to people so you can make informed decisions about your hearing.
