15 years on-hand experience as the Installation Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM). Term changed to Installation Information Assurance Manager (IAM) but duties remained the same. Responsible for establishing the security policies and procedures for one primary network with over 20,000 users, several sub-networks with numerous dedicated users, over 8,000 network devices, i.e., servers, systems, printers, copy/faxes, wireless, switches, hubs, routers. Evaluated security products to best serve the customers with the least interference. Developed the Installation DITSCAP and DODIIS Concept of Operations (CONOPS). Managed the user training program with on-line initial training and annual refresher courses. Provided training classes to unit Information Management Officers (IMOs), Information Assurance Security Officers (IASOs), and unit Security Mangers.
