My holistic yet practical approach allows you to bring all aspects of your being - emotional, mental, spiritual and physical - and come away with a full picture, rather than addressing only one of these areas at a time. I combine my classical graduate training with a specialized orientation to guide my clients towards emotional grounding, inner wisdom, problem solving, heightened creativity and advanced presence. My style is especially warm and compassionate as I reflect unique insight to my clients concerns.
My work breaks away from conventional systems that see clients, or "patients" as having an illness to be treated. Standard work of this type involves an authority figure administering a mental illness diagnosis - sometimes, even, when only minor concerns are presented. I hold a strong conviction that although my clients may be enduring personal hardships, they are not flawed, "sick", or inferior in any way.
Instead of some type of defect needing to be fixed, I see my clients inner states and external circumstances as vehicles that point towards specific elements of personal advancement. I use the material that my clients present as a means to fulfilling their highest potential, accessing their unique gifts, and growing into natural states of contented, joyful and healthy living. Founder of the “Sierra Meditation Center” and the former “Sierra Center for Meditation and Well-Being”. I currently hold a private practice seeing individual clients and couples. My professional objective is in promoting the holistic healing modality of “Positive Psychology”, and I have special interests in “Human Potential and Spiritual Evolution”. My professional experience is in the areas of relationship issues, life transitions, relieving stress, spiritual guidance, grief and bereavement, self concept and self esteem, sexuality, intimacy, dating, life visions and goals, prosperous livelihood and career coaching, crisis intervention, family conflict, depression, anxiety, addictions, anger, parenting, youth, young adult, and elder support.
