Job: Design Engineer.
General Job Description:
Electronic equipment for gas pumps. The device contained a main board listing (LCD display) the number of litres, the total price and price/litre. There were two subsystems involved: interface with optical rotary transducer which detect the rotation sense. Computer interface for 485 serial mode. All equipment were connected to a computer station that was running a centralizing program. Serial protocol was made especially to that purpose. The program controlled each component (start, stop and delivery states). The main board included a watchdog and a power-down block that permitted to save the displayed dates and the totals into an EEPROM memory.
It was a developed solution for double pumps.
My role was to concept the main board and one part of software (C51 language)-the command and control unit.
