Currently, I am a Supervising Social Worker at a domestic violence shelter for families in New York City where I manage a staff of 5 employees. I perform audits, train new hires, and perform staff evaluations. I was a Senior Employment Counselor at a non-profit and in a private college where I assisted clients/students with employment and volunteer opportunities. I reviewed and screened resumes, performed job development duties, onsite job training, conducted career discussion groups, coordinated job fairs, and created job descriptions. Other duties include, completing psycho-socials, referrals to medicals, mental health, and rehabilitation services, facilitating support groups and individual counseling sessions focusing on mental health issues. I provided case management services and assistance with the emotional well being of clients who are undergoing personal crisis.
I have a Technology background as an Online/Virtual Recruiter for a recruiting agency and as an Internet Marketer for an insurance company. Currently, I freelance as an Entertainment Blogger for an entertainment company and as a Volunteer Bilingual Blogger for a non-profit agency in Pennsylvania who assist individuals with Trichotillomania (compulsive hair pulling). I research, write articles, post videos on both company’s websites to engage readers.
