I edit academic essays and creative works for students from all levels of schooling (elementary school through graduate school) and from all educational backgrounds, including ESL students. I check for content errors, incoherence, grammatical mistakes, and overall structure and readability. I will not rewrite the content of any work, especially a creative piece; I will, however, provide suggestions on how to improve the work and offer explanations for those suggestions. Experience & Qualifications

I was Editor-in-Chief of my college's literary arts magazine my sophomore year; the issue I edited won the Columbia Scholastic Press Association Gold Medalist and Silver Crown awards. I was a tutor at the college writing center my freshman year, helping undergraduate students as well as graduate students with their essays. Currently, I am working on getting several of my own essays published upon insistence from respectable professors. I have also written for my college newspaper and have been receiving awards for my writing since the age of eleven. Many classes I have taken have honed my editing skills and my ability to clearly communicate my editing decisions to writers.
