23 years of professional experience in substance abuse and recovery issues including personal knowledge of 12 Step Recovery principles of Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon Family Groups. I have worked in several Community Mental Health agencies providing treatment for adults with mental health and substance abuse issues. My approach to treatment is to gain deep understanding of the individual and provide assistance in emotional healing. Clients have called me a "down to earth" therapist who is respectful and easy to talk to. I have worked with people of diverse cultures and backgrounds and learned alot from my clients. Many clients and family members reported positive benefits from our work together which has made my career as a therapist and Licensed Master Social Worker to be a blessing.
