All Adobe Acrobat application do not provide user help on writing Acrobat JavaScripts. If you're not using JavaScripts, you are not taking full advantage of this world-class document management system.

Adobe Acrobat JavaScript offers a wealth of opportunities for adding dynamic features to your PDF files. Such as creating dialog boxes where users add data, and then either Acrobat or Adobe Reader can be used to do something with that data.

For example, let’s say you have a product catalog describing point-of-purchase items, and on one page it includes an order form. You want the user to select an item on the catalog pages and send the data to the form page. The catalog pages provide the descriptions of the products, and the order form is like a shopping cart that shows the results of the order. You'll need an application-response dialog box to determine the order, and a script to send the data to the form.
