I worked for a general surgeon for 4 years. After that, I worked in the same building for a Family Practitioner. We worked together for over 29 years, until I "retired" to care for my ailing mother. I gave immunizations, performed venipunctures to obtain blood for lab tests, acted as triage nurse, assisted with procedures such as pap smears, colposcopies and small surgeries. Plus a lot more.
