I have over 10 years experience developing multi-tier Java applications against an Oracle database. My expertise involves reviewing Oracle parameters to make sure the database is configured for optimum performance, reviewing execution plans, analyzing AWR and ASH reports to determine where bottlenecks reside, and making recommendations on where to focus the tuning effort. I an intimately familiar with reviewing Java profiles to discover hidden bottlenecks and making Java code optimization where needed.
I've been to numerous benchmark centers to run large multi-user or massive batch performance tests to find the best hardware configuration for a given work-load.

* Experience with Oracle DBA activities specifically configuring init.ora parameters for optimal performance
* Experience using Oracle's performance tools including execution plan, AWR and ASH reports, SQL Trace, V$ tables
* Experience with Java application tuning and profiling
* Familiar with most Server OS platforms - Windows Server, LINUX, HPUX, AIX, and Solaris
* Familiar with Java tuning parameters including the different GC algorithms
* Used the following tools for tuning: Java JConsole, Fiddler, HTTPWatch, HPjmeter, Oracle's Statspack, AWR, and ASH reports, SQL Trace.
