I have worked in the Pharmaceutical Industry for 12 years, project managing synthetic organic chemstry drug developments projects (both laboratory and manufacturing plants) for both large pharmas and Contract Research Organizations. Latterly, I have project managed in Clinical Supplies and more recently in Clinical Research, where I currently manage global Phase III clinical trials. Throughout my career I have always tutored Organic Chemistry/Drug Design/and Drug Development Techniques/Troubleshooting. I have given and continue to give many presentations to both scientific and non-scientific audiences and also to key stakeholers (Clients)who expect to see a confidence presentation and project progress. I am also happy to offer expertise/guidance on professional presentations.

Over 3 Years at Leading multinational Pharmaceutical Company in the UK working in Process Research and Development Group. Received extensive training in scientific Drug Development and Competency based training which included Presentational/Communication skills, Effective Influencing, Time management skills etc. Tutored degree level organic chemistry scientists and chaired department wide development chemistry forums.
Over 6 years working in UK and USA for Contract Research Organizations. Here I developed and rolled out a company wide intiative focussed on the understanding of organic chemistry scale up, from laboratory scale to pilot plant.
My project management (12 years) expertise covers all aspects of project management on projects of varying sizes: project planning, resource management, risk analysis/assessment, budget analysis and control, operational focus and delivery, issue management and overall project control coupled to effective presentational skills to support clear communication and build effective relationships with both team members and clients. My scientific background comes from a PhD in synthetic organic chemistry with a focus on Medicinal Chemistry. In addition to my scientific theoretical knowledge (for which I received a multi-thousand dollar award from Innocentive.com for my proposed manufacturing process of a target molecule) I have gained expertise in developing novel routes to drug candidates and scaling these routes from lab quantities to manufacturing scales - mg to multi-ton (>500Kg). I have sound knowledge and experience in HSE, Process Safety, Risk Assessment, Process Design and Chemical Engineering (Pilot Plant), Manufacturing Campaign Design and Polymorphism studies.
