When I started working for my previous employer, I had the opportunity to utilize my financial skills by establishing goals and strategies to improve the performance and increase the profitability of this company. After carefully reviewing and evaluating the accounting cycle, I completed a comprehensive profit variance analysis. I was able to identify and eliminate the cause of the deficit by implementing a rational cost-reduction budgeting plan that focused on the direct and indirect operating expenses of the firm and that represented a ratio between 25 and 35 percent of the net cost of operations.
In addition, as a professional tax consultant, I have represented some of my clients in tax audits conducted by the Internal Revenue Service. In most cases, I have been able to negotiate and reduce legitimate tax assessments and successfully obtained waivers for the penalties.
