My Expert Service
Ihave been a teacher of art in painting, and many other disciplines,including,woodcut,litho-grapy,etching,drypoint etching, monotype and monoprint, gouache painting, figure drawing and pastel painting. I am a very experienced instructor, having taught at Bostson Museum School,University of Mass.at Lowell,Northern Virginia Community College, and The Art League School in Alexandria, Virginia, where I have taught for the past twenty years. I really enjoy teaching, because it is a challenge to explain the complexities of how to master a particular medium; how to create a composition; how to combine drawing with painting; how to use color successfully. These are all things one needs to know to be a competent and successful painter, or any other type of artist. I have years of experience, but I still feel that I am learning, so I find it easy to relate to students because I understand instinctively what they are feeling.

Experience & Qualifications
I have been a professional artist for thirty-seven years, specializing in oil painting(and also printmaking, specifically drypoint etching). I have also been an instructor in several colleges and currently teach at the Art League School in Alexandria, Virginia. I have had two shows in New York at Arcadia Gallery, and my work has been featured in three issues of AMERICAN ARTIST MAGAZINE. I love oil painting, and I love color. I also love teaching and helping students to acquire skills that will enable them to enrich their lives through art.
