She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Romance Language French Literature, and minor in International Business from Boston College in 1991. In 1997 she obtained an Associate of Science in Health Administration and Clinical Medical and Health Care Administration Technology from New England Institute of Technology; and a Certificate in Medical Interpreter from Southeastern Mass, a program which was sponsored by UMass Memorial Hospital and University of Massachusetts. She is also a member of IMIA (International Medical Interpreter Association); NCIH; Proz.com and Translator Cafe.
