Experience & Qualifications

GeoNet, Lead Strategy and Marketing Consultant, August 1999-July 2000 In 1999, eager for an opportunity to apply my talents to new industries, I left my corporate position at an established company to start my own business development consultancy. My anchor client arrived at the Internet party late in the game. GeoNet management asked me to help them navigate one of the toughest Venture Capital environments in recent financial history. Although the founders clearly had a winning technology vision, they needed a strategic framework that would make sense to an increasingly skeptical and risk intolerant investor base. I developed the strategy and wrote the business plan for the first Application Service Provider (“ASP”) in the energy industry. It generated nearly $25 million over multiple rounds of financing.I also served as the lead strategic consultant for the project. By properly coaching executive management from the earliest stages of the venture, I positioned the company for market leadership, helping GeoNet to rise above the noise and gain credibility with the most sophisticated investment bankers in the country. The company’s top management team recognizes my contribution to what has become the dominant ASP for the oil and gas industry. Now engineers and scientists can collaborate and rent industry specific software applications on a time- metered basis all over the world. Notable accomplishments include: ·Strategy that lead to 30 Independent Software Vendor Alliances ·Over 70 oil and gas software applications accessible via Internet ·Helped develop revenue model for rental of software applications ·Built strong competitive differentiation and barriers to entry ·Provided energy companies with new ways to control IT costs Petris Technology, Inc. acquired the company on September 10, 2001. The combination of the two companies marries application integration and data management, creating the only vendor neutral company to provide a browser based, variable cost IT solution to the energy industry. I helped the company grow from an idea literally on a cocktail napkin to a market leader while paving the way for a viable exit strategy.
