Experience & Qualifications

Research and SW-HW integration of different multimedia electronic devices in order to create an advanced demonstrator of an integrated multimedia platform for the automotive market.
Technical context/Tools: C, C++, Tornado
Development using C++ (Borland and QNX) of the EWMU software for a transportation airplane. The activity is focused mainly on the logic implementation to comply with each SR (software requirement) and the set-up of validation tests.

Specialized consultation as “Application Engineer” about MATLAB, SIMULINK and STATEFLOW tools on several projects regarding functional logic of on board instrumentation, logic validation, development of algorithms and their applications, graphic interfaces e modelling. I also improved my knowledge concerning optimisation, development methodology, model and simulation testing.
Main activities, regarding validation of functional logic and requirements:
- study, analysis and formulation of a methodology for exhaustive validation of classic finite state machines, against a mathematical representation of the requirements, in order to validate automatically the logic of an on board target;
- development within the MATLAB framework of an advanced tool for the validation of Stateflow diagrams;
- visualization logic validation of an on board instrumentation panel model;
Regarding testing:
- study, analysis and formulation of the methodology for the drawing up of patterns in order to test and verify the requirements accomplishment of an on board instrumentation panel provided by the supplier, against to each functionality specification provided to the supplier, and extension to the virtual model (Simulink);
- development within the MATLAB framework of an advanced tool for the editing of test patterns, their application to complex models, output processing against available awaited results, and reporting;
- application of the methodology to a real case (pre-production dashboard panel);
Regarding analysis of electrical circuits:
- study, analysis and formulation of a methodology for the sneak paths identification in vehicles electrical circuits;
- development within the MATLAB framework in co-simulation with Spice of an advanced tool for the analysis of "what if" situation related to short circuits and ground dumping in vehicles electrical circuits;
In addiction to this, I have been involved in other matters, in particular:
- logic specification and basic Simulink structure representing the control logic of a co-generation plant.
I was been involved also in other minor projects and activities, which made me improve my knowledge concerning: on board power management, data acquisition, virtual instrumentation (LabView), code generation (rapid prototyping). All these activities have been managed in full autonomy, coordinating dead lines and relationships with customers, supplier and partners, providing periodically detailed state-of-the-art information, results and problems.
Technical context/Tools: MATLAB, SIMULINK, STATEFLOW, HMI, Spice, Rapid prototyping, LabView;
Development of the software for vehicles navigation on board-systems, mainly about HMI (Human-Machine Interface) related to Infomobility messages, and other functional devices modules.
I worked mainly on Emergency (SOS) and InfoMobility modules using GSM network. The systems graphics were implemented both using a dot-matrix and a color-screen display.
In the course of this project I increased with constancy my knowledge about Real Time operative systems (VxWorks TORNADO) and the programming language C++.
