My Expert Service
|
Following graduation from the first 5-year physician assistant program in the United States, Alderson-Broaddus College in 1991, I have written numerous medical articles, most of which were published. The five year program at A-B College includes four years of academics and one full year of didactic education. During college, I also worked alongside the public relations officer, writing press releases concerning individual students, instructors and how the college had specific impacts on the local area in which the college exists.
As a Certified physician assistant, I have worked in physical medicine and rehabilitation as well as family practice. During my latest position, I was singlehandedly responsible for increasing the patient load from approximately 400 patients to more than 5,000 in less than two years. Well liked by my patients, I was considered apt to practice medicine in an environment without the need for any supervision (direct). Using what was learned in college as well as my experiences with patients, I was able to develop clear, concise articles for both the patient as well as other providers. Whereas some articles appeared in the professional journals, other articles appeared in newspapers and other forms of the media, exclusively for the lay-person.
Expectation will be clear: I am well equipped to provide any client with articles on demand concerning almost any topic within the sphere of family medicine or some of the more popular specialties. Published articles can be made available upon request.
*******Editor's Note: This section is not designed specifically to address questions about medical issues, but to help those who might be interested in developing medical texts. Having said that, it is also designed to, perhaps, formulate collaborative efforts with others who would like to join in the development of a new, comprehensive book that is designed for the average reader who needs help with dealing in the realm of medicine. This is not, however, a place to post questions concerning specific medical questions, as this is and would be improper; such questions can only be addressed if and only if there is an encounter between a medical professional and a patient, such as in a clinic, a hospital, or the like. Realizing that there exists those sites that do offer such assistance is irrelevant; health care professionals, such as myself, should realize that the history (taken in personal contact) along with a thorough physical exam is the only means of reaching a diagnosis. Without having these elements, one is, in essence, performing an injustice to a client and performing mal-practice.

Experience & Qualifications
|
Worked both alongside physicians while practicing medicine as well as an individual, with complete autonomy with regard to health exams, conclusive diagnoses as well as providing appropriate treatment. Since graduation in 1991, I have more than 12 years experience practicing medicine; prior to attending college as well as while attending two educational institutions, I have been writing and, have since written published material. Because I am well read, I am able to write in almost any genre.
Experience also includes eight years in the United States Air Force, both in the overseas theatre as well as within the country. Leaving the military as an E-7, I used my gained experiences to establish my abilities with regard to discipline and attention to detail. Typically, I do not take work that is beyond my abilities; however, I have a keen sense of being on-time with respect to any of my assignments.
