I am in the process of getting in the teaching credential, however I am disabled myself and raised a special needs child to adulthood. I have a wealth of practical experience in addition to the education I have received so far. AS a future teacher and educational consultant I will do everything I can to help kids teachers and parents to make the system work better. I am a creative think outside the box person and that is one of the things needed in this field. I have been involved with the IEP process from the very beginning since I was a pioneer in mainstreaming in California schools. My specialty is the milder and physical disabilites and SED. I have all but 2 classes for a double major in Psychology as well.

Experience & Qualifications

On a volunteer basis I have worked with children in a variety of positions, including a year as an aide in a 1st grade classroom. I raised a child with mild CP and was diagnosed with SED. I have also been my own case manager for my disablities as well as provided that service for others.
