About Sri.Guruji:
Raja Yogi Sri .Raghavendra Gowd Guruji is a nationally and internationally celebrated young yoga Guru known for his passionate, dynamic, creative and inspirational style of teaching that incorporates both the physical and spiritual aspects of the yoga practice.
Sri.Guruji was introduced to yoga from his childhood. It was during the professional study of yoga, he was introduced to humanitarianism. During this same period, he began working on “Importance of Smile and Yoga in life” through this he learned the benefits of creative healing through Smile, self-inquiry, reflection and acceptance. Soon, combining his daily asana practice with his commitment to the inner emotional and spiritual journey he created for himself a transformational healing path "Paanchajanya Kriya" that opened his body, stimulated energy and allowed him to witness self--mind, body and spirit--as unified. Sri.Guruji felt transformed, more available to the mystery of life and appreciative to the sacredness of the journey.
Sri.Guruji has traveled throughout India and overseas, his work continues to evolve and is deeply influenced by many of the great traditions.
His classes integrate vigorous vinyasa flow asana with the application of precise alignment, meditation visualization, intention and prayer to create an inner journey towards healing, self-awareness, acceptance and empowerment. Gowd was introduced to yoga from his childhood. As synergy would have it, he was blessed to work especially on Raja yoga form for 15 years. It was during the professional study of yoga he was introduced to yoga, and humanitarianism. During this same period, he began working on “Importance of Smile in life” through this he learned the benefits of creative healing through Smile, self-inquiry, reflection and acceptance. Soon, combining his daily asana practice with his commitment to the inner emotional/spiritual journey he created for himself a transformational healing path that opened his body, stimulated energy and allowed him to witness self--mind, body and spirit--as unified. Gowd felt transformed, more available to the mystery of life and appreciative to the sacredness of the journey. He was hooked. He began working with various healers and spiritual therapists, all whom educated him and deepened his insight and compassion into the complexities of the human experience and psyche. Gowd then studied the massage technique and bone setting technique from his father. And also he learnt meditation technique, which helped him to know the psychological components, and the various parts of the body that would be affected by blocked or repressed emotion. He was able to apply these deep metaphysical conceptions to the physical asana practice, choreographing routines that could stimulate and open these blocked passages. Gowd work continues to evolve and is deeply influenced by many of the great traditions. His commitment to make spirituality accessible and inspiring to all is reflected by his own willingness to deepen him personal understanding of the Mysteries and his desire to share all that he discovers along the way. “Smile-Sacrifice-Compromise-Positive thinking can make a real change in your life” Gowd says. Gowd teaches at many NGO’s, Schools, Organization, Corporate and travels extensively teaching workshops, conferences and retreats nationally and internationally.
